Sun Bathing: Sun bathing right off the pier from the cottage alternatively the shallow sandy beach at Vita Sannar (3 km). Rådahallen i Mellerud (swimming hall) allows year round swimming. Lake Vänern is the largest lake in Sweden and a fishing permit is not needed! Guest Harbour: Sunnanå harbour is a popular blue flagged guest harbour that is maintained and patrolled by Melleruds båtklubb. Hiking: Pilgrimsleden - From Holms church outside Mellerud to Edsleskogs church in Åmåls municipality. Karl XII:s led - From Dals Rostock over Kroppefjäll (fjeld) to Järbo. Attractions to visit: Dalslands kanal/Håverud-Upperud with possibility to rent boats, canoes, kayaks or book boat charter tours.
